David Eilander – Filmmaker
David is known for his energetic, character-driven work, in which a sense of wonder, lightness, and a clear influence of contemporary pop culture come together.
David graduated from the Netherlands Film Academy in 2016. He grew up in ‘De Jordaan’, surrounded by the diverse characters of city life, a big source of inspiration in his work. As a result, his stories often unfold in visually rich, cinematic worlds, with a strong attention to detail and playful human quirks.
In recent years, he has directed for brands including Vodafone, Gall & Gall, Albert Heijn, ‘De Belastingdienst’, Ziggo, and Staatsloterij, as well as working extensively abroad.
